Nellie's has a melanoma information education corner with free literature, sunscreen samples and buttons. We also have very special UV-sensitive beaded accessories – if the white beads change color, you should be wearing sunscreen.
Nellie's will be hosting a free 'derma-scan' event in early summer. Stay tuned for dates, times, etc.
The proceeds from specially marked bags of Grandma Hazel's Original Caramel Corn are sent to one of the following organizations:
- Melanoma Awareness: Melanoma Awareness is a Minnesota 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
- Melanoma Research Foundation: The largest private, national organization devoted to melanoma.
- Skin Cancer Organization: The Skin Cancer Foundation has set the standard for educating the public and the medical profession about skin cancer, its prevention by means of sun protection and the need for early detection and prompt, effective treatment.
